KAA Gent discovers Gent by bike

KAA Gent’s players and staff had a biking tour through Ghent city centre, wednesday afternoon. Our Buffalos left the training centre and biked through the beautiful centre of our city. You can see photos and videos of the tour on our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages.

Lead by Hein Vanhaezebrouck we showed players and staff how the new circulation plan in Ghent works.

One of the best known biking Buffalos is without a doubt Danijel Milicevic. Two years ago we already made a report called “Tour de Gand: Biking with Milicevic” with him, published in our club magazine Wigwam.

The biking Buffalo's

KAA GENT WIN THE BATTLE OF FLANDERS

KAA Gent have won the traditional “battle of Flanders” (2-1) after a hard fought derby game. Gent were the better side during the first half but were 0-1 down when Club Brugge forward Wesley headed against the post and scored in the rebound . KAA Gent did show a lot of resilience and endeavor and were leading at halftime after a wonderful volley strike and a penalty by Moses Simon, the hero of the match.

After the break a red card for our defender Troost Ekong made it very hard to defend the advantage and KAA Gent were restricted to some dangerous counter attacks. A heroic performance by the team and especially our goalkeeper, Lovre Kalinic, ensured the three points! KAA Gent are back in the race for European football next season and head for league leaders Anderlecht next Sunday.
